Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Baker. This role involves working within a dynamic kitchen environment, contributing to the preparation and production of high-quality food items. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in hand made baking with experience or enthusiasm for food preparation, and maintaining food safety standards. Duties
- Assist in the preparation of various food items, including baking and cooking tasks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Support the food production process by following recipes and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Prepare ingredients and assist with food presentation.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and other appliances.
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and waste is minimised through proper handling practices.
- Collaborate with team members to meet service deadlines during busy periods.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or cooking is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is equally valued.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices within a professional kitchen setting.
- Experience in baking or culinary arts will be considered an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen environment.
