We are a sixth-generation artisan bakery located in the heart of Lymm village. Our skilled team of bakers produces a wide range of breads and cakes using traditional methods in our on-site bakery, located directly beneath the shop floor. We are passionate about quality and constantly developing new products to keep up with current trends.
Alongside our bakery, we offer a large selection of groceries, an ice cream counter, freshly made sandwiches, salads, soups and toasties, as well as coffees and milkshakes. We’re proud of our friendly, hardworking team who genuinely care about providing exceptional produce and outstanding customer service — and we’re now looking to expand that team.
About the Role
We are looking for a Part-Time Shop Assistant to join our busy food retail business in Lymm.
Hours:
- Minimum of 3 days per week
- 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Must include at least one weekend day
- Flexibility to cover sickness and holidays when required
Key Responsibilities
- Extremely customer focused and proud to provide exceptional customer service
- Working with our craft bakery products
- Using initiative to ensure shelves and displays are well stocked
- Operating tills and handling transactions
- Preparing sandwiches and light food items
- Making coffees and serving drinks
- Baking pies and assisting with food preparation
- Undertaking cleaning tasks to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Ability to work proactively and take initiative without requiring constant supervision
About You
- Customer-focused with a positive, friendly attitude
- Sales-orientated and confident engaging with customers
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Cash handling experience
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, proactive and willing to learn
- Able to take initiative
- Happy to undertake cleaning tasks to keep the shop clean
- A minimum of 1 years experience working with the public within a food-related retail environment
