Contract Role
Multi Trades Recruitment are working on behalf of a leading client within the Construction/Facilities Management, and PFI Healthcare sector to recruit an experienced Contract Administrator to support the delivery of construction and lifecycle projects within a live healthcare environment.
This role is ideally suited to candidates with experience in:
- Construction project support
- FM project delivery
- PFI contracts
- Commercial administration
- PMO/project coordination
- NEC/JCT contract environments
The successful candidate will work closely with operational Project Managers and Commercial Managers to manage contractual notices, project governance, delay documentation, and formal contract administration activities relating to healthcare construction and FM projects.
The Role
You will act as the key co-ordinator for all contractual notices, correspondence, registers, and governance actions arising from construction, refurbishment, lifecycle, and facilities management project works delivered under a live healthcare PFI contract.
The role sits at the interface between:
- Construction project delivery teams
- FM operations
- Commercial management
- Programme management
- Contract governance
This is a fast-paced role requiring strong organisational skills, contractual awareness, and previous experience within construction, FM, or infrastructure-related environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and co-ordinate formal contractual notices across construction and FM projects
- Draft and issue:
- Early Warning Notices (EWNs)
- Delay Notices
- Time Delay Event Notices
- Refusal of Access Notices
- RFIs
- Formal contractual correspondence
- Maintain Notice Registers, Early Warning Registers, and Action Logs
- Track project delays, programme impacts, and contractual deadlines
- Support Commercial Managers with contractual evidence and documentation
- Attend project, commercial, and governance meetings
- Liaise with Project Managers regarding contractual obligations and notice requirements
- Maintain document control and audit-ready records
- Produce regular governance and contract administration reports
RequirementsEssential
- Previous experience within:
- Construction
- Facilities Management (FM)
- PFI
- Building services
- Infrastructure
- Commercial/project support environments
- Experience administering contractual notices and formal correspondence
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple trackers, registers, and deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word
Desirable
- Experience working on healthcare PFI contracts
- Knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts
- Understanding of compensation events, delays, and programme management
- Experience supporting construction or lifecycle project delivery
- Professional qualifications or working towards qualifications in commercial, contracts, or project management
