Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare and early childhood education within a nurturing environment. This role involves working closely with children, supporting their development, and ensuring their safety and well-being. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong management and leadership skills, along with excellent communication abilities, to foster a positive learning atmosphere for young children.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote the developmental needs of children in accordance with early childhood education standards
- Supervise and support children during play, learning, and mealtime to ensure a safe and inclusive environment
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Ensure health and safety policies are strictly adhered to at all times
- Manage daily operations within the nursery setting, including organising activities and overseeing staff performance where applicable
- Support children's emotional well-being by providing comfort and guidance as needed
- Assist in the organisation of outings or special events that enhance children's learning experiences
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices
- Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily nursery operations effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Childcare qualifications recognised by relevant authorities (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare) or equivalent
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending outings
- Passionate about working with children and committed to their safety and development

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
