About the role:
In this hands-on, field-based role, you’ll be at the forefront of keeping parcel locker systems fully operational across client sites. You’ll be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing faults, performing routine maintenance, updating software, and carrying out quality assurance checks to ensure smooth, reliable, and top-quality service.
What you’ll be doing:
- Attending client sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair parcel locker machines, working through a structured technical checklist to ensure each unit is fully inspected and restored to optimal performance with minimal downtime.
- Carrying out planned maintenance activities, including routine inspections, component replacements, hardware module updates, and modernisation work designed to enhance reliability and extend the lifespan of the equipment.
- Undertaking technical diagnostics and system configuration, such as identifying root-cause faults, installing or updating firmware, configuring operating software, and working on electronic or electromechanical assemblies to ensure system integrity, compatibility, and security compliance.
- Working independently in the field, meeting service-level and quality expectations while achieving weekly workload targets (including attending a designated number of parcel lockers).
- Completing all repair, maintenance, and service documentation through the organisation’s approved reporting and communication systems.
- Managing and maintaining the tools, diagnostic equipment, PPE and spare parts required to carry out tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Following all relevant Health & Safety processes, including Lone Working, Manual Handling, and Safe Driving guidelines.
What we’re looking for:
Full training will be provided, so prior experience with parcel lockers or similar equipment is beneficial, but not essential. We are looking for individuals who are naturally strong problem-solvers, thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and bring a proactive, curious, and driven approach to their work.
You’ll also need:
- A full UK driving licence (Category B), as you’ll be travelling between sites in a company van.
- Polish language is a plus.
- SPA Health & Safety Passport is an advantage (incl. work at petrol stations) - but training will be arranged if you don’t have it.
- Experience in a technical field service role, ideally with some electrical or mechanical equipment, and confidence using diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters etc).
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and familiarity with software configuration or firmware updates.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good organisation and time management, with the ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Flexibility to travel for service calls and training across the UK.
- Any experience with parcel lockers, electromechanical systems, or IT tools would be beneficial.
What we offer:
- 40-hour week, Monday to Friday
- Company vehicle
- Full training
- Tools and PPE provided
- Enhanced annual leave (24 days)
- Company pension scheme
