Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef/Pizza Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a particular focus on pizza crafting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead food production in a vibrant hospitality environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. Previous supervisory and team management experience is highly desirable, as you will play a key role in guiding junior staff and maintaining efficient kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality pizzas and other menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Oversee daily food production, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality control
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure smooth workflow
- Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper handling of ingredients
- Assist with menu planning and development to introduce innovative dishes
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Train new team members on food preparation techniques and safety procedures
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen setting, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Demonstrable expertise in food production, cooking, and food safety practices
- Supervising experience with team management responsibilities preferred
- Strong background in culinary arts with a focus on pizza preparation or similar cuisine
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving procedures, and customer service standards
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Pay: £2,035.00 per month
