Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Flat Griddle Cook specialising in breakfast dishes to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and a strong background in cooking within a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves preparing and cooking breakfast items on a flat griddle, ensuring high standards of food safety and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast dishes on the flat griddle according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cooking area, including sanitising surfaces and equipment regularly.
- Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as required, supporting the overall kitchen operations.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee optimal quality and safety of all dishes served.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Manage stock levels of ingredients and notify management of any shortages or supply issues.
Experience
- Proven experience as a flat griddle cook or similar role within a restaurant setting, particularly specialising in breakfast service.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety protocols.
- Experience working with a variety of breakfast ingredients and meal components on a flat griddle.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management.
- Prior restaurant experience that demonstrates excellent serving skills and teamwork capabilities.
