Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and organised Volunteer Social Media Manager to join our growing team. Femora is a Community Interest Company dedicated to creating safe spaces for women through honest conversations, support circles, campaigns, and community-led discussions. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for someone who can help manage and develop our online presence while engaging with our community.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our digital communications and content strategy. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of social media platforms, strong organisational skills, and an interest in community engagement. This is a volunteer position suitable for individuals looking to gain practical experience in social media management and digital communications while building their portfolio.
Duties
- Schedule and publish content across Femora’s social media platforms
- Manage day-to-day engagement including responding to comments and messages where appropriate
- Work with the founders and graphic designers to ensure content is posted consistently
- Assist in promoting Femora’s campaigns, workshops, and support circles
- Monitor basic analytics and engagement to understand what content resonates with our audience
- Support the growth and development of Femora’s online community
Experience
- Experience managing or supporting social media accounts is necessary (Can be a personal account)
- Understanding of platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, and X
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
- Interest in community work, social impact, or women’s empowerment
- A creative mindset and awareness of social media trends
This role is currently voluntary, with potential opportunities for paid project work as Femora grows and secures funding.
