Driving Force Recruitment is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers for an ongoing contract based in Middleton.
This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking regular night work with a well-established logistics operation delivering building supplies, tools, and trade products to retail locations across the UK.
We are looking for reliable drivers who take pride in their work and can be trusted with key-holder responsibilities, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, securely, and on time.
The Role
- Delivering building supplies, tools, and trade products to retail stores
- Night-time deliveries to closed locations
- Key-holder responsibilities at delivery points
- Tail-lift deliveries
- Secure opening and closing of delivery locations where required
- Ensuring accurate and professional completion of deliveries
- Working with a modern fleet and well-maintained equipment
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday nights
- Ongoing, regular work
- Consistent shift availability throughout the year
- Weekend work not required
Pay Rates
£18.00 per hour
£20.17 per hour (including holiday pay)
Alternatively, holiday pay can be accrued separately.

Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 2 years' HGV Class 1 driving experience
- Maximum 3 penalty points (minor offences only)
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Professional and reliable approach to key-holder responsibilities
- Successful completion of a driving assessment
Induction & Compliance
All successful drivers will complete:
- Driving assessment
- Manual handling training
- Drug and alcohol screening
- Site induction and compliance paperwork
