We are recruiting Care Assistant positions in North Cardiff.
Shift work, 12 hour day shifts on rotation at one client's home address.
As a Carer, we would like you to be adaptable, personable but ultimately your role would be to put the client first. We will look after you, whilst you look after the client. You will be with the client in their home Your role will include:
- Companionship
- Helping with personal care
- Mobility assistance
- Meal preparation
- Overseeing medication and providing medical support
- Running errands such as food shopping or picking up prescriptions.
The goal is to help the client live as independently as possible in their homes with our support.
Ideally but not essential, we'd like you to have a QCF in Health & Social Care Level 2.
We will provide full care certificate training and ongoing development opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients with meal preparation and medication reminders.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Assist with light household duties to maintain a safe living environment.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any concerns.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, their families, and team members.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driving license is an advantage but not essential.
- Basic IT skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
