Bus Driver – Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and professional Bus Driver to join our team. In this role, you will safely transport passengers along set routes while providing a friendly and helpful service. What You’ll Do
- Safely drive buses along planned routes while following road laws and company procedures
- Keep to scheduled times and ensure passengers reach their destinations safely
- Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after each shift
- Help passengers board and leave the bus, providing a friendly and helpful service
- Keep accurate records of journeys, mileage, and any incidents
- Communicate clearly with passengers, colleagues, and dispatch teams
- Report any vehicle faults or maintenance issues promptly
- Keep the bus clean, tidy, and comfortable for passengers
- Follow all health and safety guidelines
What We’re Looking For
- A valid PCV bus driver’s licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- An up-to-date Driver CPC card
- A valid digital tachograph card
- Previous experience in bus, coach, or commercial driving is an advantage
- Basic mechanical knowledge to carry out simple vehicle checks
- Safe and confident driving skills with good road awareness
- Good communication skills in English
- Reliable, organised, and able to manage time effectively
- Flexible to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends if required
