Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of motor vehicles and equipment. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles and machinery using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other mechanical components
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out assembly, repairs, and modifications
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to diagnose issues accurately
- Carry out equipment repair and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with the installation of new parts or systems as required
- Conduct heavy lifting when handling parts or components during repair procedures
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly
Experience
- Proven experience in vehicle or machinery repair as a Motor Mechanic or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Experience in maintenance routines and equipment repair programmes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Previous experience working with customer service teams is advantageous
