Summary
We are seeking a European FTL and LTL Operator to join our team. You must be self-driven, able to work under pressure with clear focus on operational quality and profit making. You will work alongside a small and busy team to complete daily operational tasks in order to continue to grow the department. We deal with all countries in Europe import and export, FTL, LTL or Groupage with fixed and spot rates required. You must be well organized and punctual, have some knowledge of the European Road Freight Industry and prior experience in Freight Forwarding is preferred but not essential
Responsibilities
- Receive bookings from our established customers via email and respond in a timely manner.
- Communicate efficiently with customer, supplier and other offices within the group in order to maintain exemplary operational procedures.
- Ensure good negotiation and contractual conduct and commercial awareness. Ensure invoices are raised in a timely manner
- Ensure all files have been costed and charges correctly and completed correctly.
- Quote any price enquiries.
- Have ownership over some key accounts
- Capable of manually calculating costs and charges.
- Great customer service skills.
- Experience with basic customs requirements.
- Ability to work in a team but also be self-sufficient
