Overview
Hull Scrapstore is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team after the previous postholder is leaving following ten years of continuous service.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our customer facing image, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the building, making sure that all areas are presentable and welcoming. You will have a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently with attention to detail.
Duties (These duties are not exhaustive and may vary without changing the character of the job or level of responsibility.)
· Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors and dusting surfaces;
· Cleaning and sanitising kitchens and restrooms, ensuring a hygienic environment;
· Emptying bins and disposing of waste and recycling accordingly;
· Maintaining cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or issues;
· Following health and safety regulations whilst in the building;
· Communicate effectively with team members to address any specific cleaning requests or concerns.
Skills & Qualities
· Ability to work independently whilst recognising your role in the Hull Scrapstore Team;
· Show pride in your work whilst delivering on the required duties;
· Proficient in spoken English with excellent communication skills to ensure clarity when conveying information and addressing any issues ;
· Strong customer service skills;
· Attention to detail.
