Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant specialising as a Complex Carer for a 1-year-old baby boy to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality, personalised care to individuals with complex needs within care homes or in their own homes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, PEG feeding experience, and Deep sectioning, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in clients’ lives. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care plans tailored to each individual’s specific needs, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and medication management
- Support clients with complex health conditions, including neurological or physical disabilities
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Assist with light domestic tasks and support clients in maintaining their independence
- Use IT systems to update records and report any changes in client condition promptly
- Drive clients safely when required, ensuring compliance with road safety regulations and organisational policies
Experience
- Previous experience working as a Care Assistant or Complex Carer within a care home or home care setting is highly desirable
- Experience in PEG feeding and Deep sectioning
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively
- Experience with clients who have complex health needs or specialised care requirements
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to interact confidently with clients and team members
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles requiring travel between locations
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
