Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Permanent - Part time position (0.64 FTE) - 20 hours
per week (days/times as agreed) except full-time
hours for 10 weeks during term per year (examination
periods). Plus attendance is required in Exam Results
Week (August). Term time only plus Inset/exam result days.

What You Need to Succeed
The Exams Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth, accurate, and fully
compliant administration of all public and internal examinations at Worthing High School.
Working in close alignment with the Senior Leadership Team, subject departments, the
Access Arrangements Lead, and external awarding organisations, the post-holder will be
responsible for the end-to-end management of all examination processes.
The role requires a high degree of organisation, accuracy, and the ability to work
confidently under pressure, particularly during peak examination periods. The post-holder
must maintain up-to-date knowledge of Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations
and ensure the school remains fully compliant at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
Educated to GCSE Standard (A*-C) or equivalent, including English and Maths
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Experience of school examination administration (essential)
Knowledge of JCQ regulations and ICE guidelines (essential)
Experience of MIS systems (e.g., SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom) (desirable)
Experience of awarding organisation portals (e.g., Edexcel Online, AQA, OCR)
Proven organisational and time-management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines
Ability to manage confidential information appropriately
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, specifically Google, Outlook, Word
and Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience of CAT4 or similar assessment administration (desirable)
