We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef / Cook to join our Kitchen team at the Royal Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts to contribute to a dynamic kitchen environment.
The Chef /Cook will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests while maintaining strict adherence to food safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in Menu planning and ingredient sourcing to maintain quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods
- Serve dishes to guests in a professional and courteous manner when required
- Innovate new recipes and contribute ideas for menu development
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, plating, and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality food experiences
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous
