Teaching Assistant - Reception Class

£105-£120 per day

Long Term Futures is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded primary school from September, providing dedicated support within a Reception class.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates who have previously worked within a school-based Reception environment and understand the unique demands of supporting children through their first year of formal education.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a minimum of 6 months' experience working within a Reception class in a primary school. Applications from candidates with nursery or preschool-only experience will not be considered.
About the Role
Working closely with the Reception teacher and EYFS team, you will:
- Support children during both adult-led and child-initiated learning activities
- Assist with the delivery of phonics, early reading, writing and maths activities
- Promote communication, language and social development through structured play and learning opportunities
- Support pupils' independence, confidence and engagement throughout the school day
- Help maintain a stimulating and nurturing classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet the needs of all learners
- Contribute to observations and pupil progress where appropriate

Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6 months' experience working within a Reception class in a primary school
- Good understanding of the EYFS Framework and Reception curriculum
- Experience supporting phonics and early language development
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Positive, proactive and nurturing approach
- Commitment to a long-term role from September
