Position
As a Technical Account Manager within Allume Energy, you will assume a crucial role in driving the technical adoption, sales growth, and successful deployment of our pioneering SolShare product during a period of rapid growth. Within our efficient and collaborative team, you will serve as the primary technical and commercial point of contact, ensuring M&E clients, contractors, and key stakeholders successfully integrate SolShare into their projects.
This is a consultative, relationship-driven sales role. By combining your practical UK electrical background with strategic account management, you will act as a trusted technical advisor—driving commercial growth and securing project buy-in through peer-to-peer credibility with contractors, installers, and project decision-makers.
Your daily responsibilities will encompass providing in-depth electro-technical consultancy from an Allume perspective to ensure correct project specifications, managing projects through the sales and delivery pipeline, and building strong relationships with new and existing partners. Occasional site visits, both locally and further afield, will be required as part of client and project engagement.
If you are a time-served UK electrician with a strong passion for new technologies looking to transition your hands-on expertise into a strategic, remote corporate role where you can blend technical innovation with commercial relationship-building, we encourage you to submit your application.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support M&E Clients: Act as the primary technical consultant to M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) clients, providing design-in support to specify the SolShare solution correctly into their systems and project bids.
- Manage Project Pipeline: Oversee and manage projects as they move through the sales and deployment pipeline, ensuring all electrical and technical requirements are met for successful installation and handover.
- Engage and Onboard Technical Stakeholders: Proactively identify, engage, and onboard new technical partners—such as electrical consultants, DNOs, contractors, and installers—introducing them to the product and providing necessary technical expertise.
- Drive Consultative Sales & Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with key customer accounts, leveraging your technical expertise to identify future commercial opportunities, upsells, and sales growth.
- Contribute to Product Strategy: Gather and communicate practical technical feedback and market requirements from your peer-to-peer conversations with installers and engineers back to the development team to inform future product enhancements and sales collateral.
What We’re Looking For
- Time-served electrician in the UK: Must have completed a full industry-recognised route (typically a structured UK apprenticeship) Please note: Short-course domestic installer qualifications alone will not be sufficient for the technical depth required in this role.

- A strong passion for new technologies and innovation, with a keen interest in keeping pace with advancements in renewable energy.
- Desirable 2 years of experience in a technical account management, application engineering, or a senior supervisory electrical role with a natural aptitude for relationship-driven, consultative sales.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex electrical concepts and commercial benefits to diverse audiences, from on-site installers to corporate stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple project timelines and sales pipelines simultaneously.
- Organised, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-moving environment.
- Familiarity with the use of CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) for pipeline management is highly desirable.
