Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, construction site experience, and mechanical knowledge. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including remodeling, commercial installations, and ASHP systems, contributing to the successful completion of various construction and renovation tasks. Candidates must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute plumbing layouts accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to complete installations
- Perform pipe fitting, threading, soldering, and welding to ensure secure connections
- Assist with remodeling projects by integrating plumbing components with carpentry and drywall work
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues using mechanical knowledge and basic math calculations
- Follow safety protocols related to construction sites, including proper handling of tools and hazardous materials
- Collaborate with other trades such as ASHP technicians and carpenters to ensure project efficiency
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety regulations throughout each project
Experience
- Proven experience in construction plumbing or related fields such as remodeling or handyman work
- Familiarity with construction site procedures and safety standards
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with welding, pipe threading, and the use of hand tools and power tools required for plumbing tasks
- Knowledge of ASHP systems is a plus but not mandatory
- Prior experience with commercial driving or operating heavy machinery is advantageous
- Strong mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations
- Demonstrated ability to lift heavy materials safely and work in physically demanding environments
