We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior HR Advisor with specialist Employee Relations (ER) experience to join our organisation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering strategic human resources support, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
You will be the absolute go-to expert for all things ER. Working closely with the Operational Team and supporting the HR Director, you will take full ownership of casework, compliance, HR training and conflict resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
- ER Case Management: Lead and manage complex ER issues independently, including disciplinaries, grievances, capability reviews, and sickness absence.
- Manager Advisory: Act as a coach and trusted advisor to line managers, upskilling them on HR best practices, performance management, and policy implementation.
- Compliance & Policy: Ensure all company policies, contracts, and procedures are legally robust, up to date with UK employment law, and fit for purpose.
- Dispute Resolution: Proactively manage workplace conflicts, conducting thorough investigations and facilitating fair outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all HR cases, letters, and outcomes to protect the business and support employees.
- Line Management: Experience of managing HR team members as this role will be managing 2/3 members of HR staff.
Role Requirement:
- Deep ER Expertise: A proven track record of managing a high volume of varied ER cases independently.
- Employment Law Knowledge: Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation is essential.
- Sector Experience (Desirable): Experience working within fast-paced sectors such as health/social care, recruitment, or temporary staffing, catering and hospitality are all a major plus.
- Communication Skills: The ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, absolute discretion, and a calm, firm approach.
- Qualifications: CIPD Level 5 or above is preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience is highly valued.
- Ideal candidate is a HR Advisor looking for their next senior role in HR and has line management experience and looking to progress their career in ER.
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role within a human resources environment.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
