We are currently seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join our clients team based in Stoke-on-Trent. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the daily operations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our clients.
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for operating heavy goods vehicles in compliance with company policies and road safety regulations. You must hold a valid Class 2 driving licence and have a good understanding of transport and logistics procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle to transport goods between sites or to client locations.
- Perform vehicle checks before and after shifts, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and paperwork is accurately maintained.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and collections.
- Follow all company and legal driving regulations, including tachograph and driver hour compliance.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Class 2 Driver licence (Category C).
- Proven experience as a Class 2 Driver preferred.
- Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and able to handle some manual handling duties.
