Are you passionate about people, customer service and helping patients feel valued and cared for?
We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Patient Coordinator to join our growing team.
This is not a traditional reception role. We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, helping patients, solving problems and becoming a key part of a successful dental practice.
The successful candidate will work closely with our clinicians, Treatment Coordinator and management team to help deliver an exceptional patient experience.
ABOUT US
Streatfield Dental Surgery is a well-established mixed NHS and private practice with a growing focus on implants, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry and comprehensive patient care.
We are continually investing in our team, systems and patient experience and are looking for someone who wants to grow with us long-term.
THE ROLE
Responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients and delivering outstanding customer service
- Managing incoming telephone, email and WhatsApp enquiries
- Booking and coordinating appointments
- Helping optimise clinician diaries and fill short-notice availability
- Supporting patient recall and reactivation programmes
- Following up enquiries and consultations
- Assisting patients with treatment information and finance options
- Helping guide patients through their treatment journey
- Working closely with our Treatment Coordinator and clinical team
- Supporting patient communication and engagement initiatives
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who is:

- Excellent on the telephone and in person
- A natural communicator who enjoys helping people
- Organised and proactive
- Comfortable using computer systems and digital communication tools
- Positive, enthusiastic and reliable
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in dental reception is welcomed but not essential.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
- Customer service
- Hospitality
- Retail
- Healthcare
- Private medical practices
- Opticians
- Hotel reception
- Patient-facing or sales-based roles
The right personality, attitude and communication skills are more important to us than dental experience alone.
