Job Title: Deputy On Shift
Location: Calder View Children’s Home – Mirfield, West Yorkshire - Ofsted Outstanding Home
Salary: £42,250 - £43,250 (depending on experience)
Hours: This role is working on shift (37 hours) with additional office hours (8 hours) making this position 45 hours per week.
Sleep ins: £5,175 per annum (based on 10 sleep ins per month)
Shift Pattern: 2 shifts on, 4 shifts off
Shift Times: Shifts start at 7:30am finishing at 11pm followed by a sleep in.

About Calder View
This children’s home follows a therapeutic model of care, supported by our very own psychologists. The therapy team work closely with the staff and young people in our therapy homes, they have extensive knowledge and understanding of children with complex needs and will be working with both staff and young people to ensure the delivery of care consistently meets the needs of the young people
About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a deputy on shift to assist the registered manager with the running of the home. We specifically require a qualified candidate who has previously been a senior support worker/team leader or Deputy Manager within a children's home. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from candidates with a background of working in adult Services, schools, nurseries, or domiciliary care.
This role is working on shift with additional office hours making this position 45 hours per week.
If you are a Senior RSW with a minimum of 12 months experience working shifts and looking for that step up to be a deputy manager, with the interest of one day running your own service, you are encouraged to apply.

- Essential - QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare/Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent)
- Essential - Suitable experience at Senior/Team leader or Deputy manager level specifically within a residential home for children, leading on shifts and following the children’s homes regulations.
- Essential – driving licence
