Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team in delivering high-quality food services. The successful candidate will play a vital role in meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Prior experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. We also require Front of House assistants.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food presentation to ensure timely service
- Support the kitchen team with food safety procedures and hygiene standards
- Prepare ingredients and assist with basic cooking tasks under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Organise storage areas and ensure proper labelling of ingredients
- Assist in serving meals to customers or guests as required
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to prevent accidents or contamination
- Support inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not mandatory
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen safety protocols is beneficial
- Experience in meal preparation, food safety standards, and serving roles will be considered an advantage
- Enthusiasm for learning culinary skills and working as part of a team is essential
