We are recruiting for a hands-on and proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a busy industrial and production environment in Manchester.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, working across both mechanical and electrical systems, and helping maintain a safe, efficient operation. You’ll play an important role in keeping equipment running, supporting production performance, and contributing to continuous improvement across the site
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across site equipment and facilities
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Maintaining production machinery including pumps, conveyors and associated equipment
- Supporting installation and commissioning of new machinery and systems
- Completing preventative maintenance activities to schedule
- Assisting with site improvements and equipment upgrades
- Basic fabrication and welding tasks where required
- Ensuring tools, work areas and maintenance records are managed effectively
- Working safely and following all health & safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
We’d like to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role
- Mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge
- Experience working in manufacturing, production or industrial environments
- Fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Welding and fabrication experience (preferred)
- Understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems
- PLC exposure or fault-finding experience would be advantageous
- A practical, adaptable approach and willingness to learn
