Milk Education is working with a number of supportive schools across Leeds who are looking to appoint dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for September 2026.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs

Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support learning and development

Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
-
Support pupils with emotional regulation, social development, and confidence-building
-
Implement tailored learning and behaviour strategies
-
Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
-
Create a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
To be considered, you should have:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, youth work, coaching, or similar settings)

A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
-
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
A genuine passion for supporting young people
-
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
