We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team.

Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of food items, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management.
- Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
- Ensure all cooking equipment is maintained and cleaned properly after use.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Assistant or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or catering environment would be ideal but not a requirement.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
