Why is this role IMPORTANT to us?
Our Bakery Team Leader's are responsible for supervising their team, ensuring best practice in line with Health & Safety & GMP standards, providing constructive feedback, suggesting improvements as well as recognising great work.
They are responsible for delivering the work schedule for the shift, including liaising with the relevant shift manager to update them on progress, challenges and requesting support when required.
What will you be DOING?
- Lead your team within the Assembly/High Risk section of our bakery
- Ensure all staff are working to the correct standards and processes to ensure a safe working environment for all
- Responsible for 121s, return to works, informal absence reviews and investigations within area of responsibility.
- Responsible for ensuring key messages are cascaded to staff and upholding a positive work environment.
- Responsible for H&S compliance in your area, ensuring all staff have the required H&S training, and supporting with H&S Inspections and the preparation of risk assessments and SOP documentation.
- Completion of all Operational paperwork, ensuring it is correct and escalating any errors immediately.
- Support the delivery of improvement initiatives
What SKILLS or KNOWLEDGE do you need to have?
- Ability to work alone under own initiative
- Good problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- An eye for detail
- An excellent standard of both verbal and written English
- Experience of supervising a team
