Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Director to oversee clinical operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
The Medical Director must have a CAMHS Psychology background.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, clinical guidance, and management support within our healthcare organisation. This role offers an opportunity to influence patient care standards, lead a multidisciplinary team, and uphold organisational excellence.
Duties
- Provide expert medical leadership and oversight across all clinical departments
- Develop, implement, and review clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Lead and manage medical staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with administrative teams to optimise operational efficiency and patient outcomes
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a culture of continuous improvement
- Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for clinical services
- Serve as a liaison between medical staff, patients, and external healthcare bodies
- Monitor clinical performance metrics and implement quality assurance programmes
- Stay abreast of advancements in medical research and integrate best practices into service delivery
Requirements
- Medical degree recognised by relevant governing bodies
- Valid registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or equivalent authority
- Significant management experience within a healthcare setting
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate multidisciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and quality assurance processes
- Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a collaborative work environment
