Job Title: Site Fitter/Fabricator/Welder

About Us:
We are a growing metalwork company based just outside Frome, known for installing bespoke feature staircases, balustrades, and structural steel. As we take on more complex installations, we’re looking for a skilled site fitter who can also support fabrication when needed.
The Role:
Primarily, you’ll be on-site fitting and installing custom metalwork, everything from staircases to balustrades. You’ll also support workshop fabrication when required. If you thrive on site work, problem-solving on installations, and delivering high-quality finishes, this is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Majority of work on-site: fitting staircases, balustrades, railings, and structural steel.
- Confidently read and work from technical/site drawings.
- Stick welding on-site as needed
- Measuring and adapting components on-site for perfect fit.
- Workshop support for fabrication and welding (MIG, and ideally TIG).
- Ensuring all work is installed to a high standard and in line with project requirements.
- Collaborating with the team on-site and in the workshop as needed.
Essentials:
- Strong experience in site fitting/installation.
- Confident Stick and MIG welder
- Ability to work from technical drawings and adapt on-site.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Self-motivated and reliable, able to solve problems on-site.
- Workshop fabrication experience.
Desirable:
- TIG welding skills.
- Familiarity with bespoke staircases or architectural installations.
- CSCS card or similar site qualifications.

Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
