Are you ready to inspire and lead?We are seeking a dynamic and driven Head of RE / RS to lead a successful humanities department within a Bradford secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a fixed-term leadership role from September to May, where you will play a key role in shaping curriculum, supporting colleagues, and driving strong student outcomes.Working as part of a supportive leadership team, you will have the opportunity to innovate, inspire, and raise achievement levels across the school.
The Role:

With this in mind, we are looking to appoint a passionate Religious Education specialist who shares a vision for an ambitious, inclusive, and engaging curriculum.
You will lead RE / RS across KS3 and KS4, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and assessment, and promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and curiosity.
As Head of RE / RS, you will:

Lead the planning and delivery of the RE / RS curriculum

Drive student progress, attainment and engagement
-
Monitor teaching quality and support the development of staff
-
Contribute to the wider humanities and whole-school improvement strategy

Promote high standards of behaviour for learning
-
Champion values such as diversity, respect, inclusion and cultural understanding

Role-model: exceptional professional practice and leadership

The Successful Candidate Will Have:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
A proven track record of successful teaching across KS3 and KS4 RE / RS
-
Strong subject knowledge of the GCSE RE specification
-
Experience of, or readiness for, middle leadership
-
The ability to lead curriculum, assessment and drive improvement
-
Excellent classroom practice and behaviour management skills
-
A confident and credible leadership presence
