Our Birmingham Chinatown office is a busy and fast-paced branch located in the heart of the city centre. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service and building long-term relationships with landlords, tenants and investors.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Lettings Negotiator to join our Birmingham team.
The Role
As a Lettings Negotiator, you will play an important role in supporting the branch's day-to-day lettings activities, helping landlords let their properties efficiently while assisting prospective tenants in finding their next home.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to build a long-term career within the property industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Registering and qualifying prospective tenants.
- Conducting property viewings and following up with applicants.
- Matching suitable properties to applicants' requirements.
- Building and maintaining relationships with landlords and tenants.
- Negotiating tenancy offers between landlords and tenants.
- Managing enquiries via telephone, email and in person.
- Preparing tenancy documentation and supporting administrative processes.
- Assisting with property marketing and online listings.
- Working closely with the property management team to ensure a smooth customer journey.
- Supporting general branch operations when required.
Candidate Requirements
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Confident, professional and well-presented.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good IT skills and confidence using office systems.
- Previous estate agency, lettings, sales or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills would be advantageous.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is preferred.
