Pay Rate: £18.18 per hour for the first 48 hours, with overtime paid at 1.3x after 48 hours
About the Role
We are currently recruiting Class 1 HGV Drivers to join a busy and well-established operation based at PE27. Drivers will be delivering concrete building products from a manufacturing facility to builders' merchants, major construction sites, and, in some cases, residential properties.
You will be operating a modern fleet of Volvo, DAF, and Scania articulated and drawbar vehicles, working as part of a professional and safety-focused transport team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver concrete building products to customers across the region
- Complete deliveries to builders' merchants, construction sites, and occasional residential addresses
- Operate articulated and drawbar vehicles safely and efficiently
- Ensure all vehicle checks and paperwork are completed accurately
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV Licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
- Strong understanding of driver hours and road transport regulations
- Good communication and customer service skills
Desirable
- ALLMI Brick & Block Crane Qualification
Drivers holding an ALLMI Brick & Block qualification are highly desirable. However, we are also interested in hearing from standard Class 1 drivers. For committed candidates seeking long-term opportunities, training and upskilling to gain the relevant qualification may be provided at our expense.
