Only candidates who are fully qualified up to NVQ Level 3 in Early Years should apply for this job post with Room Leader experience of at least 2 years and above.
We are looking for a Deputy Manager or a candidate who is confident in taking on the role of Deputy Manager who has experience of being a Leader for 3 years and above who is looking for their next step up in their job role.
The ideal candidate should be energetic, dynamic and eager to learn with a good understanding of the EYFS in order to support the staff team who can work in partnership with the Nursery Manager to ensure the day to day operation of the nursery is kept to high standards. The ideal candidate will be given training and required support to carry out the job role.
Expectations
- Support the practitioners in ensuring an appropriate level of care and teaching is being delivered in all rooms.
- Support the Nursery Manager with the day to day running of the nursery and work opposite shifts to the manager to ensure smooth running of the nursery.
- Model and support high-quality interactions which extend children's children's learning and thinking.
- Supervise and support all staff across the nursery to provide high quality interactions, which extends children's learning and thinking.
- Ensure that the environments throughout the nursery are well set out and that resources are excitingly presented and accessible.
- Ensure Room Leaders run calm and well organised rooms using staff delegation as appropriate.
- Provide guidance to the staff team in order to support them in fulfilling their key worker roles.
- Deputise for the Manager when appropriate and have confidence to step up in the Manager's absence.
- Have a good understanding of the EYFS and Health and Safety aspects of the nursery.
- Be able to keep accurate records of all documentation.
- Be familiar with all aspects of the day to day running of the nursery including the policies and procedures.

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
