School Cleaning Operative required in Claydon, Ipswich.
Monday to Friday ONLY (no weekends) - 3:00pm-6:00pm (3hr per day/15 hers per week)
Pay rate: £13.10 per hour
Term time 39 weeks per year plus 4 weeks deep cleaning per annum.
- Holiday paid pro rata
- Uniform supplied
- Experience ideal but full training will be given.
- Enhanced DBS will be applied for once successful candidate is selected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all areas of the school, including classrooms, hallways, toilets, and common areas, are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Clean and sanitise toilets, replenish supplies, and ensure proper waste disposal.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the school facilities team promptly.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for students and staff.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning after school events and activities as needed.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals responsibly and in accordance with training.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends if required.
