An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious early years professional to establish and lead a brand-new nursery within a successful and well-established primary school community.

The Opportunity - Nursery Manager – Primary School
As Nursery Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the leadership, development and daily operation of the nursery.
Working closely with the wider school leadership team, you will establish outstanding early years provision and ensure children receive a safe, engaging and inspiring start to their educational journey.
This role would suit someone who combines excellent early years knowledge with strong leadership skills and who is excited by the opportunity to build, develop and grow a successful provision.
Key Responsibilities - Nursery Manager – Primary School
- Lead the successful opening and ongoing development of the nursery provision.
- Establish high expectations and consistent standards across care, learning and daily practice.
- Recruit, manage, support and develop a high-performing nursery team.
- Ensure full compliance with EYFS requirements, safeguarding procedures and statutory guidance.
- Create an engaging, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that supports children’s development.
- Monitor children’s progress and ensure learning experiences are purposeful and responsive.
- Oversee nursery operations including resources, budgets and day-to-day organisation.
- Build strong and positive partnerships with parents and carers.
- Drive continuous improvement and embed a culture of excellence.
- Work collaboratively with the wider school leadership team to ensure alignment across the school community.
About You - Nursery Manager – Primary School
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A recognised Early Years qualification (minimum Level 3; Level 5 or above desirable).
- Previous leadership experience as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager or within a senior early years position.
- Strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding responsibilities.
- Experience leading and developing staff teams.
- Excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building skills.
- A child-centred approach and commitment to delivering exceptional early years experiences.
- The confidence and vision to establish and grow a successful nursery provision.
