Job Overview
We are seeking 2 or 3 talented and dedicated Chefs to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
- Manage food production processes, including portion control and presentation standards
- Oversee food safety compliance and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies
- Assist in menu planning and development to reflect current trends and customer preferences
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to minimise waste and maximise efficiency
- Serve meals to guests when required, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction
- Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting, with demonstrated cooking skills
- Supervising experience in a busy kitchen environment is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
- Proficiency in food production techniques, menu development, and kitchen organisation
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of quality
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff at all levels
