About the Role
Dr A. M. Tabrizi Dental Practice is looking to welcome an experienced and motivated Dental Nurse to join our friendly team.
Position: full-time, part-time permanent
Working days and time: Tuesdays, Wednesdays - 8:45am - 5:00pm
Location: 69 Berners Street, Ipswich, IP1 3LN
Salary: to be negotiated

We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and professional individual who takes pride in their work and is passionate about delivering high standards of patient care. The successful candidate will be confident supporting clinicians chairside and assisting with occasional reception duties within a busy practice environment.
As a Dental Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing chairside assistance during a wide range of dental procedures
- Preparing and sterilising instruments in line with cross-infection control protocols
- Maintaining a clean, safe and compliant clinical environment
- Preparing treatment rooms before and after patient appointments
- Supporting patients with care, reassurance and professionalism
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Using SOE (Exact) dental software for clinical notes and administration
- Undertaking occasional reception duties, including answering calls, booking appointments and welcoming patients
- Ensuring compliance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), General Dental Council (GDC) and health & safety regulations
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties within your competence to support the smooth running of the practice
About the CandidateIf Qualified – Essential Requirements
- Level 3 National Diploma in Dental Nursing (or equivalent)
- Valid registration with the General Dental Council (GDC)
- Valid professional indemnity insurance
- Previous experience working as a Dental Nurse
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience using SOE (Exact) dental software

To be considered for a trainee position, you must:
- Complete Hepatitis B vaccination course (costs to be covered by yourself)
- Enrol on an approved Dental Nursing course (course fees to be covered by yourself)
- Demonstrate commitment to completing your qualification within the agreed training period
- Maintain professionalism, reliability and a strong work ethic
- Comply with all practice policies, including confidentiality, cross-infection control and health & safety requirements
Please note: Continued employment will be subject to satisfactory progress in your dental nursing qualification.
