The Role: Audit Senior / Assistant Manager
In this position, you will play a key role delivering high-quality audit and assurance services across a broad client base, with particular focus on not-for-profit organisations and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supervising audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Managing and reviewing work performed by junior team members
- Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact
- Identifying risks and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Supporting Partners and Managers with workflow planning and client delivery
- Contributing to the development and mentoring of junior staff
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong technical capability alongside excellent communication skills.
Essential Requirements
- ACCA/ACA qualified or nearly qualified (finalist level considered)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ UK Practice experience within audit
- Proven experience working with not-for-profit clients
- Strong exposure to SME audit engagements
- Good working knowledge of UK GAAP and audit standards
- Confident leading audits and managing client relationships
Desirable Skills
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach
