Security Officer – Loughborough
We are seeking an experienced daytime Security Officer for our Carillon Court site in Loughborough.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, varied role that combines traditional security duties with site administration and day-to-day operational tasks. You will be on your feet for the majority of your shift and expected to get stuck in — whether that's dealing with an incident, picking up litter, or working through administrative tasks at a desk.
You will need to be confident, proactive, and professional, with the ability to handle situations assertively when required.
Key Responsibilities
Security & Site Maintenance
- Conduct regular patrols and visual checks of the site and car park in line with company policy
- Manage the opening and closing of the site
- Provide a visible deterrent to crime and manage unacceptable behaviour
- Support in emergency situations including fire and evacuation incidents
- Monitor and maintain site presentation standards — this includes picking up litter, dealing with overflowing bins, and generally keeping the site looking its best
- Act as the eyes and ears of the site, reporting issues to the management team
Health & Safety
- Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly H&S checks across the site
- Ensure H&S processes and procedures are followed at all times
- Submit all completed H&S documentation to head office
Site Administration & Operations
- Manage the site inbox and respond to queries promptly
- Handle parking enforcement — responding to and cancelling fines where appropriate, and submitting evidence of parking violations to the parking enforcement provider
- Coordinate and arrange site access as directed by management
- Take meter readings as requested by the accounts and utilities teams
- Issue invoices to site tenants as directed
- Complete accurate reports and handover logs at the end of each shift
What We're Looking For
- Someone who is happy to roll their sleeves up and take on whatever the day throws at them
- Excellent communication skills — you will be dealing with a range of people on and off site
- Organised and able to manage both physical and administrative tasks within a shift
- Personable, approachable, and willing to go the extra mile
Essential Requirements
- Valid UK passport or right to work in the UK
- SIA licence
