Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating flatbed ,refridgerated lorries to deliver goods across various locations. Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 lorries, including flatbed ,fridge,curtain vehicles, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-journey checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition
- Load and secure goods onto the flatbed ,fridge and curtain Lorries ensuring proper weight distribution and safety measures are followed
- Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely and professional manner
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle logs
- Maintain communication with the dispatch team regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during journeys
- Follow all health and safety procedures during loading, unloading, and driving operations
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience involving flatbed vehicles
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of road regulations and safety standards applicable to large vehicle operation in the UK
- Experience in handling flatbed loads and securing cargo effectively is desirable
- Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools is advantageous
