P401 Qualified Bulk Analyst
Casa Environmental Services Ltd is looking for a motivated and well-organised, experienced P401 Asbestos Bulk Analyst to join our busy laboratory at our Southampton branch, providing analysis of samples to identify any presence of asbestos.
Candidates must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working hard to meet and exceed client expectations in delivering a first-class service to our ever-expanding client base.
In this role, you will provide dedicated analysis support to the Southampton Lab Manager and analysis team playing a key part in the day-to-day operation of our asbestos analytical services.

The Role
As an asbestos bulk analyst you will be responsible for assisting the Laboratory Manager with various duties. These duties include but are not limited to the following;
- Accurate identification and recording of results of asbestos fibres in samples
- Prioritising and organising workloads effectively
- Accurately booking samples into the lab
- Working to the company’s established quality and safety procedures strictly at all times
- Maintain continued professional development with training and audits
- Working on own initiative and as part of a team
- Using TEAMS software system to a high level of accuracy
- Answering the telephone and accurately relaying messages
This role may include occasional administrative assistance during quiet periods to provide support for our asbestos surveying and analytical operations when required, generating survey reports and floor plans using the organisations specialist software.

Essential Requirements
- A high level of attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
- High levels of concentration and patience
- A disciplined and methodical approach to procedures and health & safety
- Hold the the BOHS P401 qualification and have experience analysing asbestos samples
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and use initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong IT skills with an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Desirable Requirements
- Other experience within the asbestos or construction industry
- Experience using The Electronic Asbestos Management System (TEAMS)
- NVQ in Business Administration or equivalent
- Experience of generating survey reports and floor plans.

Salary: £26,500* to £29,500* per annum full time (Salary based on 40 hour week - *pro-rata for part-time)
