We work with brands a retailers to check, repair and sell returned items rather than going into landfill, we're working with several national bike retailers to do just this, whilst helping consumers purchase quality bikes at a fraction of the cost they are new.
We're looking for a skilled bike mechanic to join us 2 days per week at our Watford base to help process and repair these returned bikes.
What you'll do:
- Inspect returned bikes and diagnose issues: brakes, gears, wheels, tyres, frames
- Carry out repairs and servicing, replacing worn or damaged parts where needed
- Tune and adjust components so every bike leaves your bench safe and riding well
- Get bikes clean, roadworthy and ready for their next rider
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience servicing and repairing bikes (workshop, mobile or shop background)
- High standards - safety checks done properly, every time
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
The details:
- 2 days per week to start
- Initially a short-term arrangement, with real potential to grow as the business does
- Based in Watford
- Competitive day rate, dependent on experience
