The Winchester Hotel & Spa has been one of Winchester’s most popular destinations for weekend getaways and spa breaks for over 20 years. The hotel consists of 96 bedrooms across four room types, a relaxing spa with a range of professional treatments as well as a refreshing pool and hot tub, flexible function rooms and a stylish bar and restaurant to enjoy throughout the day.
ROLE PURPOSE
This role offers a unique opportunity to take ownership of a broad range of marketing initiatives for both hotel brands, ensuring each maintains its distinct identity and positioning. The successful candidate will manage stakeholder communications, collaborate fully with operational teams, deliver marketing projects across digital, local, and event channels, and provide clear, insightful reporting on performance. This position is ideal for someone with solid marketing experience seeking to broaden their scope and step into a more strategic, multi faceted role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, manage, and execute marketing campaigns across digital channels, local marketing, events, and community outreach for both hotel brands.- Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders and operational teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery of marketing initiatives.
- Create, edit, and oversee high quality content for social media, email, website, and print materials, reflecting each brand’s unique identity.
- Lead activation planning, coordination, and execution for owned and local initiatives.
- Monitor and analyse marketing performance across all channels, producing and presenting monthly reports to stakeholders with actionable insights.
- Travel between The Elvetham Hotel and our sister hotel in Winchester a few times per week, ensuring hands on involvement across both sites.
- Act as a brand guardian for both hotels, ensuring all activity reflects their individual positioning, tone, and guest experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience liaising with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Confident managing marketing across multiple channels, including digital, social, email, and local initiatives.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with operational teams.
- Demonstrates creativity, attention to detail, and a strategic mindset in delivering marketing projects.
- Comfortable working onsite across multiple locations and taking ownership of projects.
- Able to maintain and develop the distinct identities of two hotel brands.
- Competent in producing and presenting clear, insightful monthly reports on marketing activity and performance.
- Photography and high res content editing skills are strongly desired but not essential.
