Production Controller
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Location: Burton On Trent
Contract Type: Permanent
Due to continued growth and expansion we are currently looking to recruit an Production Controller to join our business in Burton On Trent on a permanent basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage works orders through SAGE 200 ERP
- Maintain accurate start and finish dates within the system
- Create and manage purchasing requirements
- Attend production meetings and action agreed outcomes
- Coordinate kitting requirements with Stores
- Review engineering release dates and highlight exceptions
- Liaise with Sales, Engineering, Production and Purchasing teams
- Complete works orders and ensure materials are issued correctly
- Review job costing (materials and labour) at completion stage
- Run exception reports and resolve system discrepancies
- Support inventory and material control processes
- Contribute to Lean initiatives and continuous improvement
- Support ERP development (INFOR M3 implementation underway)
Experience and Skills:
- Has experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Has strong ERP / MRP system experience (SAGE 200 desirable)
- Understands works orders and production scheduling
- Has planning, scheduling or material control experience
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is confident communicating with stakeholders across departments
- Works well to structured processes
- Has strong Excel skills
- Is analytical and proactive
- Takes initiative and ownership
- Superuser ERP experience would be advantageous
