Established in 1885 as a Guild of the Cookery and Food Association, the Craft Guild of Chefs has developed into the leading Chefs’ Association in the UK and has many members worldwide.
The Role
Office based in Richmond. As the main point of contact for administration, the ideal candidate must be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail, be a strong communicator, must be able to work under pressure, and handle a wide array of responsibilities. A good understanding of Intuit QuickBooks is essential, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
Please note - the description does not attempt to detail every activity and is to be used as a guide to specific tasks and objectives that will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals.
Finance - Intuit QuickBooks - processing payments, invoices and reconciliations. Processing Card payments. Managing petty cash account. Create profit and loss accounts on events as directed.
Administrative - Answer emails in a timely manner. Open all correspondence. Manage the Membership database. Assist CEO with office stocktake taking in deliveries when needed. Ensure all office procedure documents are kept updated. Order office stationery as required.
Committee Meetings – Prepare and distribute agendas. To attend committee meetings on a regular basis. Report any items that require committee awareness and keep updated of progress. Prepare minutes after meeting and distribute accordingly.
Other duties include: Membership, Business Partners. Product Endorsements, Events.
Although the role is office based, occasionally will be required to assist at exhibitions in and around London.
A minimum of 3 years previous experience in Office Administration is required, and a good understanding of QuickBooks is essential.
