We are currently looking to recruit a housekeeper , at our family run, 4 star luxury hotel on St Mary’s, Isles of Scilly. St Marys is the largest of the 5 inhabited islands, 26 miles off the coast of Cornwall. The hotel consists of 38 rooms, some full of history within the original castle building itself and the remaining outside in the grounds with beautiful and unspoilt gardens and sea views.

Role:Housekeeper
Contract: Seasonal March-October
Responsible for: Housekeeping team
Hours: 40 hours per week

Purpose of the role:
The role of the housekeeper is to provide an excellent service in housekeeping department. Ensuring the highest standard of service is given to the guests, guests rooms and communal areas.
Main duties and responsibilities:
· Preparing rooms for guests.
· Changing linen and making beds.
· Cleaning bathrooms.
· Mopping, sweeping, and cleaning floors.
· Providing new amenities given by the hotel are positioned in suitable places.
· Cleaning communal areas.
· Deep cleaning when required.
· General housekeeping duties as and when required morning and afternoon.

Experience:
- Experience in housekeeping and managing a team preferred
People skills:
- Take personal pride in doing a fantastic job including having a very high standard of personal appearance.
- Able to understand and deliver an outstanding service.
- Able to demonstrate a professional and organised approach to the role.
- Be a great team player and take ownership and responsibility.
- Have the ability to prioritise and to spot errors and resolve issues.
- Have an excellent attention to detail.

Pay: £23,000.00-£26,520.00 per year
