We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant to join a supportive setting in Rochdale.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young people who may face barriers to learning, including SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, and additional support needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping students engage with education and reach their full potential.

Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis

Assisting with classroom activities and learning interventions

Building positive and trusting relationships with students

Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs

Encouraging engagement, attendance, and participation in learning

Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff

Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment

Experience working with children or young people is desirable

A positive, patient, and resilient attitude

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
