Job Purpose:
Big Motoring World Group is an expanding car supermarket group that is going from strength to strength and is looking to employ a MET Technician at our Preparation Centre Site in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast and progressive moving group as well as working alongside experienced technicians to help and support and your career development. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a self-motivating attitude, with an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team within a busy, fast-moving environment.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 3:30pm
Duties and responsibilities:
- Stripping / refitting of bodywork panels in readiness for the body shop.
- Stripping / refitting of new parts.
- The ability to work on your own initiative as well as in a team.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest quality standards.
- Ensuring work areas and tools are kept tidy and in good working order.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
- Ideal candidate should have industry qualifications or have minimum of 2 years’ experience in the role.
- Good communicative skills and ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
- Good time management, planning skills and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience of working to efficiency targets.
- Systematic and organised; pays attention to the finer details.
- Demonstrates an honest and diligent approach to work.
- Ability to work as part of a Team.
- Take pride and responsibility for your own appearance as well as the appearance and organisation of the site in which you work.
- Driving license required.
